About the college
The College of Law and Political Science offers two specializations. Instruction in both the Law and Political Science departments is in Arabic, while English is also taught throughout the four academic years. Admission to the college is subject to the central admissions process of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and adheres to the regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry. The college operates on an annual system for all levels of study. The four-year program integrates theoretical and practical learning, including a practical training course for fourth-year students in the morning program. During this course, students receive practical lessons and simulations of the work of civil and criminal courts under the guidance of experienced judges.
Vision
Starting from the beginning of the 2009-2010 academic year, the college began implementing the goals set out by this law, and the college is now subject to (central admission) by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The college’s mission is to prepare a competent generation of lawyers and politicians according to the latest scientific and educational principles, in order to supply the judiciary and state departments with graduates of a high level of professionalism and to adopt modern legal materials that are taught in advanced universities, in order to ultimately prepare a generation qualified to work in various fields.
Goals
1-Preparing graduates to contribute to building their homeland by making the law serve society and providing the appropriate capabilities and skills to supply state departments and others with qualified personnel, within the framework of interaction between academic study and scientific reality through the serious contribution of graduates and their impact on society.
2- To develop the correct systematic thinking of the student and prepare him in a sound legal manner and instill honest legal values in a way that qualifies him to be an essential element in society.
3- The college is considering the possibility of opening postgraduate studies in the future.
4- Developing and activating the legal consulting office.
5- Opening a graduate studies department in the field of human rights.
6- Establishing a unit for legal and political studies.
7- Holding conferences, scientific seminars and training courses.
8- The college aims to bring about qualitative and quantitative development in the scientific, educational, cultural and scientific research movement in various aspects of knowledge and to provide society with competent personnel who contribute to the implementation of plans for scientific, technological and civilizational advancement and development.
